  The mistranslation of John 14.10

  darby bible translation says the following at john 14.10 (brackets his): .

  "believest thou not that i [am] in the father, and that the father is in me?

  the words which i speak to you i do not speak from myself; but the father who abides in me, he does the works.".

  The Trinity is best "explained" by its creators - the Catholic church. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15047a.htm

  Here are some of its explanations on the subject. Not unlike the gobbledygook which the Org uses to explain such things as "overlapping generation", "personal death cancels a persons sins", "144,000 will become kings as well as priests", "Christ came in 1914, was present for about 5 years, then went away, but will return yet again!"

  "The Vatican Council has explained the meaning to be attributed to the term mystery in theology. It lays down that a mystery is a truth which we are not merely incapable of discovering apart from Divine Revelation, but which, even when revealed, remains "hidden by the veil of faith and enveloped, so to speak, by a kind of darkness" (Constitution, "De fide. cath.", iv). In other words, our understanding of it remains only partial, even after we have accepted it as part of the Divine message...... but we cannot attain that fuller knowledge which supposes that the various elements of the concept are clearly grasped.......

  All theologians admit that the doctrine of the Trinity is of the number of these. [mysteries] Indeed, of all revealed truths this is the most impenetrable to reason.....the plurality of Persons in the Godhead is a truth entirely beyond the scope of any created intellect.

  The Fathers supply many passages in which the incomprehensibility of the Divine Nature is affirmed. St. Jerome says, in a well-known phrase: "The true profession of the mystery of the Trinity is to own that we do not comprehend it"

  Only after the Aristotelean system had obtained recognition from theologians was this question thoroughly treated."

  when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

  i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

  i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

  I liked this quote in the opening section:

  "In countries where our work is banned, appreciative ones will risk their freedom in order to obey Jesus’ command."

  So let me get this straight, Jesus actually commanded that spectating non-partakers were to commemorate his death alongside partakers? I don't remember reading that scripture!!

  If You Dont Disassociate Yourself, Are you Still Counted in Average Publishers on Annual Report?

  for all the newbies and angry ones of the forum and other forums, is it beneficial to show your stand to indicate that numbers are dropping in the org rather than increasing?

  this is to those who are in a position to do so.

  i know many cannot due to family members in the org.

  if you look on jw.org it hasn't disappeared yet (dec 20th 2015) but it's meeting time is shown as sunday at 10.00 am and that is not possible, as lydney who shared the same hall are listed as sunday at 10.30 am.cinderford and lydney shared a hall in parkend, lydney, gloucestershire.

  Correction to the above information which I was given:

  The hall is not being sold in Cinderford. It's Lydney that uses it and some of the Cinderford congregation are being absorbed into it. It appears there weren't enough elders or they seemed to be getting on in age.

  Any other info I receive will be added here.

  Ronnie Hunter appears to be one of the "usual suspects" who are continually used by their London masters for the annual convention and assemblies. From my brief encounter with him, he is clearly a 100% "company man."
